I was informed recently about the new style boys are wearing at feises now, which seams to be  waist coat/tie/trousers or you could say vest/tie/trousers. Also make sure your tie and vest are the same colour combination so it doesn't look rather odd.

There have always people wondering why kilt or why trousers , I'm actually confused by this too lol and I have been dancing in trousers since I first started dancing. Well I guess you could say that the kilt has been in the dancing circle for a long time. For example the Scottish male wear their tartan kilts. This is a long tradition for the Scottish so I guess that's how it went with the Irish lol. Don't ask... this is just my opinion... 

Trousers / Kilt

Never the less the trousers are always being worn now as I guess most guys don't like the idea of the kilt because its basically like a skirt and guys feel weird in them also not a lot of boys like showing off there hairy legs. This was easily solved when Michael Flatley came out with his show lord of the dance. All the guys were wearing trousers so I guess people didn't see the harm in it. 

The one thing I have never understood about the whole trouser gig is that it that why wear trousers if they are hard to dance in lol....Unless you higher the crotch because then it wont get caught on the legs. I noticed many people doing that in competition now. They higher the crotch on the trousers. Well I guess that's all I have to say on this...
