So you have always wanted to be the lord of the dance! Well now's your chance with this handy make your own lord of the dance comber band guide!

Materials Needed:

Most of this you can get from your nearest boutique or fabric shop.

You choice of color fabric,
Sequins or a Celtic iron on transfer or glitter glue,
Iron On Fabric Stiffener,
Needle and thread OR Sewing Machine,
Measuring Tape,
Fabric Chalk,
Velcro or safety pins,
Fabric glue,

Follow these instructions carefully!

1. Measure up your waist and write down the measurements, and keep this safe because you'll need these. Draw on the stiffener a straight line of your waist size and add 8 cm to it. Now draw the rest of the comber band shape onto the stiffener as shown below.

2. Now you have the shape measure it one more time for accuracy before cutting it out. Now it is cut out you can iron it onto your choice of fabric leaving about 2 cm wide to fold down and glue down onto the stiffener. Giving you what should like the picture below.

3. Now for the fun bit! Once the glue has dried get your fabric chalk and draw your pattern onto the front with a thin line. Try and make it accurate because you will now glue the sequins on in the Celtic pattern style or if your handy with the needle you could sew the sequins on so you don't get nasty glue marks. Another thing you could use also is glitter glue for the pattern. Either way what ever glue you use make sure it is fabric and this it dries clear.

4. Once the glue has dried or you have finished sewing or ironing on the transfer, which ever! You are done in a sense at least if you use safety pins to pin your comber band on. If not you will now need to sew the Velcro onto the comber band like shown below.

The Velcro is like this so that so that when you fold it around you it will stick together.

That's it I hope you enjoyed making that :)
